Our Lodge offers a guide and manager that was born and raised in this area. George's father was a guide for Ranger Lake Lodge in the 1940's and he continues on the family tradition today. He has 40 years of knowledge to share on how to make your experience unforgettable.

Best Moose Hunts in the Algoma region

For the avid hunter we have the best hunting in the Algoma region in both wildlife management units 35 and 36. Hunts are available for moose, bear, wolf and grouse. We offer a variety of options for our hunting packages.

Bear Season: Fall Bear only - August 15 to September 30
Moose Season: Rifle - Opens October 6, 2009 for residents and October 10, 2009 for non-residents
Grouse Season: September 15

License Fees

Moose and Bear licenses as well as other hunting and fishing licenses are sold at the Lodge

Export License: $ 35.00

Important: Fees subject to change. If purchasing a license you will need to bring a current or expired hunting license. Non-residents will have to fill out a declaration form at Canadian customs.

Bear Hunt Rates

$1,000.00 per person. Minimum of 4 hunters. This is for 5 nights. Includes fully equipped cabins, flush toilet, hot showers, active baits for each hunter, freezer and skinning service for all our hunters. We will assist you in tracking well-hit animals.

Moose Hunt Rates Note:: 2 tags are sold only 1 remains as of May 1, 2009

$1,000.00 per person. Minimum of 4 hunters. This is for 5 nights. Experienced guide provided for the hunt. Includes one adult moose tag. Each hunter must purchase a calf tag. Accommodations are in our rustic log cabins overlooking Ranger Lake. Each have fully equipped kitchens, flush toilet, hot showers and freezer and skinning service for all our hunters.

Deposits

$500.00 per person is required to reserve a Bear or Moose hunt. Refunds are not provided and cannot be transferred to another hunter.

All hunt packages are in Canadian funds and are non-refund able. Taxes and license fees are not included in packages prices. We provide free skinning and freezing for all our guests.
